How is it possible to have two such conflicting emotions clash through your gut at the same time?
I stride to the door and just about throw it back off its hinges as I admit the prospect who wants to grab his safe box that he had hidden in back of the closet.
He comes in gingerly, like a kid expecting to be side-swiped by an aggressive father. He doesn’t take his eyes off me the entire time even while rummaging in the empty closet.
Fuck, am I that scary now? The ex con, escaped con rather not even ex, a terrifying force for the younger generation.
My eyes go to Raven, sitting on the bed, young enough to be another child and just as insecure. She looks tired but also beautiful to my eyes.
The way her body responds to my touch, it feels as though every pore is reaching for me like flowers turning to the sun. She looks at me, nervous, but our gazes bolt on and stick, unable to break free of each other.
If I can’t touch her, or bury myself deep inside her, at the very least I can feed myself with the sight of her.
Her nipples are poking through the thin tee shirt, making my cock unfurl again. The fucker is desperate to get wet after all this fucking time but I don’t think that’s where the urgent need to own Raven’s body stems from. After all Tiffany is on the other side of the door, more than willing to get back in my bed. If not her, I could order any of the Pass Arounds to get naked for me with a click of my fingers.
It’s something more with Raven.
Something I can’t put my finger on, presumably because it’s never been like this before with any woman. After all I could have easily taken her with little effort on two occasions tonight.
I could take her now, but more than pushing myself deep inside her tightness, I want to take some time. I want to explore her body slowly, lapping around the rise of those perky nipples, moving down to do the same around her eager point.
The prospect drops his tin box on his way out of the room. It clatters to the floor, making both Raven and I startle out of our reverie.
“Sorry.” The prospect mutters for like the hundredth time since he came in here.
“Just get out.” I snap, more brutal than I meant.
“Yes. Sorry.”
I kick the door closed and turn back to Raven on the bed, watching me closely, expectation filling her gaze.
“Get some sleep.” I say.
Her features collapse. Can she actually be disappointed that I’m not going to hook up with her, after everything she’s been through tonight?
I must be imagining it. Fuck knows my imagination has run riot these last five years. But surprisingly none of my vivid pictures featured Tiffany. That was how prison made me realize that she was definitely not my old lady despite how fervently she pushed the matter.
Raven remains motionless, like she’s unsure where to put herself.
